Tegz Architecture & Construction Company was founded in 2010 by Tega Ogbebor with a specific goal: to run a construction firm where the leadership stays close to the work. We are privately held and deliberately structured so that clients deal directly with the people making decisions, not intermediaries.

The company operates through two dedicated divisions. The Civil Works Group handles public infrastructure: roads, bridges, drainage, airports, and marine structures. The Building Group handles architectural construction across hospitality, healthcare, education, sports, industrial, and residential sectors.

MEP services, piling, and project management are all done in-house. We do not subcontract the critical work. That gives us tighter control over programme, cost, and quality on every job we take on.

2010

Company Founded

Tegz Architecture & Construction Company established by Tega Ogbebor in Benin, Edo State, initially focused on general contracting and residential building works.

2014

Civil Works Division Launched

Created the Civil Works Group to take on public sector infrastructure: roads, drainage, and bridge contracts in Edo and Delta States.

2018

MEP Brought In-House

HVAC, plumbing, and electrical installation moved fully in-house, ending dependence on third-party MEP subcontractors and improving delivery timelines.

2021

Building Group Formalised

Formalised the Building Group as a separate division with its own leadership, responding to growing demand from hospitality, healthcare, and education clients.

Today

120+ Projects, Active Pipeline

Tegz continues to take on civil and building contracts across Nigeria, with an active project pipeline from both government and private sector clients.

No Subcontracting the Core Work

MEP, piling, and site management stay in-house. We do not pass critical scope to third parties and then manage them from an office.

Straight Contracts

We give clients a clear scope, a fixed programme, and a realistic cost estimate. If something changes on site, we report it immediately, not at the end.

Programme Discipline

Construction timelines slip because nobody manages them. We assign a project controls lead to every major job and track milestones weekly.

Site Safety

We have a dedicated HSE manager on staff. Site inductions, PPE compliance, and daily safety checks are standard on every Tegz site.
